Royal Calc respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have established a process for responding to claims of copyright infringement.

1. Our Commitment to Copyright Compliance

Royal Calc is a calculator website. Users input their own data to perform calculations. We do not host, store, or distribute copyrighted content intentionally. However, we take copyright infringement seriously and will respond promptly to valid DMCA notices.

Important: Royal Calc processes user-inputted data for temporary operations only. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed through our platform, please follow the process below.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that content on Royal Calc infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated Copyright Agent.

Your Notice Must Include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work - Describe the work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the infringing material - Provide the specific URL(s) where the alleged infringing content is located on Royal Calc.
  3. Your contact information - Full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement of good faith belief - "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. A statement of accuracy - "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Your electronic or physical signature - Type your full name at the bottom of the notice.

3. What Happens After We Receive a Notice

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content within 24-48 hours.
  • Notify the user who uploaded the content (if we have contact information) that the content has been removed.
  • Provide the user with information on how to file a counter-notice.
  • Terminate repeat infringers - Users who repeatedly violate copyright may have their access terminated.

4. Filing a Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a DMCA Counter-Notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Identification of the removed material - The specific URL(s) of the content removed.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury - "I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification."
  3. Your contact information - Name, address, telephone number, email address.
  4. Consent to jurisdiction - "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located, or if my address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Royal Calc may be found, and I will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice."
  5. Your electronic or physical signature - Type your full name.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the original complainant. If the original complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed content.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

Royal Calc maintains a strict repeat infringer policy:

  • Users who receive two or more valid DMCA notices may have their access terminated.
  • We track repeat infringers using email addresses and IP addresses where available.
  • Since our service does not require user accounts, we reserve the right to block IP addresses of repeat infringers.

6. Misrepresentations and False Claims

Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing is liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees). False DMCA claims can have serious legal consequences.

Please understand that Royal Calc operates as a calculation tool, not a content hosting platform:

  • Input data is processed in real-time and not stored.
  • We cannot retrieve data after it is processed.
  • For time-sensitive takedown requests, please notify us as soon as possible.
  • We may not be able to take action on a DMCA notice if the data has already been processed.

9. International Copyright Notices

While the DMCA is a United States law, Royal Calc respects international copyright laws. Copyright owners outside the United States may submit notices using the same process, though legal remedies may vary by jurisdiction.
